**helper**, Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 10:33pmArea = ((b1 + b2)/2)* h

4 = ((b1 + b2)/2)* 1

4 = ((b1 + b2)/2)

Multiply both sides by 2

8 = b1 + b2

So, the sum of base1 and base2 = 8

I don't know what you mean by 'best numbers'?
