solve for k

I have a strong feeling that you meant:

(F(x+2)-F(2))/(x)

= (1 + 3(x+2)^2 - 25)/x

= (1 + 3x^2 + 12x + 12 - 13)/x

= (3x^2 + 12x)/x = 3x + 12 , x ≠ 0
