The product of two numbers is 60. If you divide the larger number by the smaller number you get 15. What are the two numbers? Please show how your two numbers meet the 2 criteria stated in this problem.

let the two number be A and B

so AxB=60

and A/B=15
thus A=15B

substitue in the equation above

15B xB=60
B^2=4, so B=2 or -2

thus A=-30 or 30

criteria met?

-2x-30=60

and -30/-2=15

or for the other pair

2x30=60

and 30/2=15
