I need your help to check these sentences on air travel. I really hope you can help me.

1) Enter the airport and look at the departures board to check your flight number and the departure time of your flight.
2)Go to the check-in desk to weigh your luggage. Make sure your baggage doesn't exceed (?) 20 kilos. You pay excess baggage (you take).
3)You have your ticket checked and they give you a boarding card for the plane with your seat number on it.
4)Then you go through passport control where an official checks your passaport. (How do you call the place where you put your bag and mobile phone ?)
5)Then you go into the departure lounge. Here you can also buy things in the duty free, e.g. perfume, alcohol or souvenirs.

Usually they take your luggage where you check in. Here, we check the baggage in first, or it is even taken outside. Any hand luggage, mobile phone, etc. is put on a counter (conveyer belt) before you walk through the gate that checks for metal, etc.
