(5x-3)(3x-8)

Using FOIL, first, outer, inner, last

(5x-3)(3x-8)

First 5x * 3x = 15x^2

Outer 5x * - 8 = -40x

Inner -3 * 3x = - 9x

Last -3 * -8 = 24

put together

15x^2 - 40x - 9x + 24

add similar terms,

15x^2 - 49x + 24
