Yes, indeed, but YOU must write the sentences first! The Preterit is the most difficult tense because of many irregular stems and/or endings.

If you are struggling, maybe write it in English first, and then work on translating it to Spanish. You don't need "examples" of me telling you what I did last week. Just be sure that you understand when you need to use the preterite. If not, re-read that section in your book.
You should go through your spanish textbook and pull pieces from there because if you look in there you will find exactly what you are looking for.
Last week i went to the park with my friends. We ate lunch together and swung on the swings. Later that day we went to the library to do homework. i helped Ken with his homework and we studied together. After studying i went home to dinner and took a bath then went to sleep.
