combine like terms

2 - 7 y < 65

add -2 to both sides

-7 y < 63

divide both sides by 7

-y < 9

multiply both sides by -1

change direction of arrow when multiplying by negative number

y > -9

check with y = -8

2 - 2(-8) -5(-8)

2 + 16 + 40 = 58 yes less than 65
