March 1: when a jet flies at the speed of sound,it is flying at march 1. The speed of sound:sound takes 5 seconds to travel one mile in the air where a jet flies. How many minutes does it take a pilot flying a jet at march 1 to travel 24omiles?(Assume that the pilot is flying in a straight horizontal line between two points.)

First of all, it is Mach not March.
March is one of the months in a year.
Secondly, you have 24omiles.
Did you mean 240 miles?
I will assume you did.

To go 240 miles would take 5x240 seconds or 1200 seconds
= 20 minutes
