a person fires a rifle at a arget. the bullet leaces the rifle at 460 m/s and the person hears the bullet strike the target 2.00 seconds after firing it. the air temperature is 25.o celcius. what is the distance to the target?

The sound speed is 340 m/s, give or take a few. You might want to compute it or look it up for that specific temperature.
Solve this equation to get the distance, X:
2.00 = bullet travel time + sound travel time
= X/460 + X/340
Solve for X, in meters
