franklin school has 3 boys for every 4 4 girls in fifth grade . there were 140 students in the fifth grade.
A.how many are boys
B.how many are gorls

Let x equal the total number of boys.

3/7 = x/140

Cross multiply.

7x = 420

x = 420/7
x = ?
