Find the percent by mass of sodium chloride in a 1.35 M NaCl solution. The density of the solution is 1.06 g/mL..............how do I go about doing this question thanks!

  • chemistry - ,

    %(m/m)=mass of the solute/mass of the solution*100
Then,1.35 mole of NaCl(mass=58.5) per litre
    and 78.975g of NaCl
The mass of the solution =1060g per litre
    %(m/m)=78.975g/1060g*100=7.45%
