Hello!

Does anyone know how to insert pages in Word 2007? I want my fourth page to be numbered with 1.
I have been searching for the way to do this for at least 2 years. I have never done it! I have checked all Web pages. Need someone who really knows how to do that.

I have never been successful at doing that. The only thing I've been able to do is to make the first (unnumbered) pages in a separate file, and then in a separate file, put the rest of the pages and start numbering with 1.

You might also explore "sections" -- it might be possible with that type of division of the document, but I've never worked with it.

Try looking through some of these, too.

Hello! I can help you with inserting pages in Microsoft Word 2007. To have your fourth page numbered as page 1, you can follow these steps:

1. Open the Word document where you want to insert the pages.
2. Go to the page before where you want the numbering to start as page 1. For example, if your fourth page should be numbered as page 1, go to the third page.
3. Click on the "Page Layout" tab in the top menu.
4. In the "Page Setup" section, click on the small arrow in the bottom-right corner to open the Page Setup dialog box.
5. In the Page Setup dialog box, go to the "Layout" tab.
6. Under the "Headers and Footers" section, check the box that says "Different First Page."
7. Click on the "OK" button to close the Page Setup dialog box.

Now, to insert the new pages:

1. Place your cursor at the end of the third page.
2. On the top menu, go to the "Insert" tab.
3. In the "Pages" section, click on the "Blank Page" button.
4. Repeat this step as many times as needed to insert the necessary number of pages.

To adjust the page numbering:

1. Double-click in the header or footer of the fourth page.
2. In the "Header & Footer Tools" Design tab that appears, check the box that says "Different First Page."
3. Click on the "Page Number" button and select the desired page number format (e.g., "Format Page Numbers").
4. Configure the settings as needed, such as starting the numbering at 1.
5. Click on the "Close Header and Footer" button to exit the header or footer.

Your fourth page should now be numbered as page 1, while the rest of the pages will follow accordingly. Remember to save your document after making these changes.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.
