My mother in law falls from a 200m cliff. Answer the following.

a. What is her acceleration after 2 seconds? What is her acceleration after 3 sec?

b. How long will it take her to hit the ground?

c. What would be her velocity right before she hit the ground?

a) Acceleration due to gravity is a 'constant' force (generally 9.8m/s^2), so in both cases, she will be accelerating at 9.8m/s^2

b) Sorry, I don't remember the formulas, so I'm using calc for this (velocity is the integral of acceleration, position is the integral of velocity, no need for constants of integration). t = 6.388766 sec

c) v = 9.8t, so v @ 6.388766 = 62.60991 m/s

Congrats on the loss of your mother-in-law! ^_^ b
