Divide the numerator by the denominator. Multiply the answer by 100 to find the percent. You can do this by moving the decimal point two places to the right.
Example: 3/4 = 0.75 = 75%
Examples: 2/ 5 = ?/100
we multiplied the 5 with 20 to be 100 then we have to multiply the 2 with 20 as well
then 2/5 = 40/ 100
40%
