There is a button below π (fifth button from the top of the left-most column) that is like a hat "^". This is the exponent button.

Try
(7.79*10^9±)^3
=4.72729139-25
(not 0.001982344602080349)

The "^" key has replaced the "yx" key on the older models like the TI-30XA.

To cube a number on a TI-30X IIS calculator, follow these steps:

1. Start by entering the base number inside parentheses: (7.79E-9) or (7.79×10^-9)
Note: Use the exponent key (EE) or (EXP) key for entering exponents.

2. Then, find the cube function on your calculator. On the TI-30X IIS calculator, the cube function is labeled as "x^3". It is located on the second row of functions, above the digit "7" key.

3. Press the "x^3" key once to cube the number entered in step 1. The calculator screen will display the cube of the number.

Following these steps, you should be able to calculate the cube of (7.79×10^-9) and get 0.001982344602080349 as the answer.
