**Reiny**, Monday, November 15, 2010 at 7:13pmI read that as

4 log_{4}8

= log_{4}8^4

= log_{4}4096

= 6

since 4^6 = 4096

or

8 can be written as 4^(3/2)

then 4log_{4}8

= 4log_{4}4^(3/2)

= 4(3/2)

= 6

- Algebra-Reiny please look at this-Another question -
