Since 30 x 4 = 120, you must then multiply 2 1/2 by 4 to find out.
30 can go into 120 4 times. So you have to multiply the 2 1/2 cups 4 times.
2 1/2 x 4 = your answer!

They are both right. The easiest way to do this is to make a proportion, though. 2.5/30=x/120, Cross multiply 30x=300, solve for x.
