I have to add prepositional phrases to the following sentences. Please check to see if correct.

1.The carpenter repaired the roof.
2.The coach explained the play.

1.The carpenter repaired the roof in the house.
2.The coach down the street explained the play.

Correct.

A better preposition in # 1 would be "on."
