A solution of ethanol (C2H5OH) in water is prepared by dissolving 61.9 mL of ethanol (density = 0.79 g/cm3) in enough water to make 250.0 mL of solution. What is the molarity of the ethanol in this solution?
grams ethanol = volume x density.
moles ethanol = grams/molar mass.
M = moles/0.250 L = ??

Mass=vxd=61.9mlx0.79ml=48.9g since we have found mass then moles=48.9g/46.08 g/mol=1.06mol since we have found the number of moles then we can find the conc. Of ethanol in 250mL which is molarity=moles / volume=1.06mol/0.250l=4.24mol/L
