Determine the ratio of cations to anions for the following ionic compounds
a. potassium, a salt substance
b. calcium floride, used in steel industry
c. aluminum oxide, known as corundum in the crystalline form
d. calcium oxide, used to remove sulfur dioxide from power plant exhaust
e. strontium chloride, used in fireworks
Formulas are here. You can get the ratio from that.
a. K--there is neither cation nor anion here. I suspect you did write all of the material.
b. CaF2. Not the correct spelling of fluoride.
