Homework Help: ENGLISH!!!!!!

Where should the comma go in this sentence?

Candy's dog represents Lennie and the fact that the dog was shot foreshadows the end of the book when Lennie is about to get shot.

Should it go after the word "shot"
(or is there no need for a comma?)
