9n +12=6n +54
9n - 6n = 54 - 12
3n = 42
n = 42/3
n = 14
9n + 12= 6n =54
-6n -6n
3n + 12=54
-12 -12
3n=42
n= 14
what you did was take 6n and subtract it from both sides (from 9n & 6n) you get 3n and 7 & -6 cancel because of opposite signs and u are left with 3n+ 12=54 , then you subtract 12 from both sides again & 12 & -12 cancel because of opposite signs & 54-12 is 42 & you are left with 3n=42 and then divided 3 by 42 and 3n and n equals 12 .
