Homework Help: Foods

what cooking tool is used to make sauces which do not contain milk? I know I have asked this question already but I have still not a found very good answer. The sites that people have gave me are not helping infact they are just showing me how to cook sauce or other stuff, not showing me what tools. Please help me!!!!!!!

This item also cooks vegetables and fruits so I don't think its a blender.
