Homework Help: Say NO! to Drugs

Why do you believe young people like to do drugs?

I think young people choose to do drugs because they think it's cool and that they can be considered popular among the others who choose not to. Some youngsters find it as amusement and like to get high; they enjoy the feeling. Other reasons why I think young people choose to do drugs is because of depression, and that they want to be accepted in their peer group.

I would like it if you could tell me from your persepective why you think youngsters like to do drugs. Thanks.

Are you sure that kids who do drugs are popular among those who do not do drugs?

No I do not think so, cause I do not do drugs and I don't consider the people who do drugs around me cool either.

So is my wording wrong on that?
Should I say:

I think young people choose to do drugs because they think it's cool and that they can be considered popular.

Is this good?
