Homework Help: SOCIAL STUDIES

Is it true that Shah Jahan (emperor who built the Taj Mahal) was forced to cut off his hands after he built the Taj Mahal? If this is true then I need proof. I tried going on wikipedia but it doesn't say anything about that on history or any other heading. Please tell me is this is true and then please help me find a site that has the info on this. thanks alot!!!

It's not true.

There's a legend that Shah Jahan had the hands cut off from the architect of the Taj Mahal. However, I doubt if this is true.
