Homework Help: Algebra

Posted by Lea on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 6:33pm.

We're doing multi-step equations, and I need help on how to check my answers?
I knew how to do it on two-step equations, but now it's kind of confusing?
for example, there's a problem, 6a-1 over 7 = 1
My answer was 4/3.
We're supposed to insert our answer in place of the variable in order to show we checked it, but it doesn't seem right?
