In a game, the Bulls score a total of 103 points and made three times as many field goals (2 points each) as free throws (1 point each). They also made eleven 3 points. How many goals did they have?
103=3(2)+ 1 + 11(3)
would this equation be right?

No, that is not right.
Let the number of free throws be x.
There are 3x twopoint field goals, and 11 from "downtown" (3 pointers).
103 = 11*3 + 2*(3x) + x
70 = 7x
x = 10 free throws
3x = 30 is the number of twopoint "field goals"
