Juan is 8 years older than his sister Rosa.One day, Juan tells Rosa he is twice her age, but will only be twice her age for one year.To figure out the ages of Juan and Rosa you must first identify the variables. What are the variables in this problem?

    X = Rosa age
    X + 8 = 2x = Juan age

    x + 8 = 2x
    x = 8 = Rosa age
    2 * x = 2 * 8 = 16 = Juan age.
