**jen :)**, Sunday, August 29, 2010 at 1:46amx: m or the length

Y: m+2 or the width

i'm assuming this is a rectangle

perimeter=2x+2y

perimeter=2(m)+2(m+2)

therefore

2m+2m+2

perimeter=4m+2

as for area..

area=xy

area=m(m+2)

area=m^2+2m
