**Henry**, Friday, August 20, 2010 at 6:18pm2r - 5s = -22

5r + 2s = 32

Multiply 1st Eq by 5 and 2nd Eq by -2.

10r - 25s = -160

-10r -4s = -64

Add the 2 Eq

-29s = -174

5 = 6

Substitute 6 for s in original Eq

and solve rfor r.

2r - 5*6 = -22

2r = -22 + 30 = 8

r = 4.
