Which of the following would be classified as an informative or possitive message?

A. A request for information
B. An announcement of a policy that reduces benefits
C. A memo for the file recording actions and rationales
D. A letter to an employer announcing you have accepted another offer

I have absolutely no clue as to what the answer may be. I think it could be either B or D but I really am lost as to what the question really wants. In fact, I think they all point to being informative or positive but I know that's not right. Like I said, either B or D. I would really appreciate someone explaining to me what the answer could be. Please and thank you so much!

All are informative.

Now you need to decide which one would be considered positive. What do you think?

I think that C would be the most positive because a letter to an employer saying that you accepted another offer would be negative and so is the one reducing benefits.

So there's A and C left. A can't be it because all you are doing is requesting information, not receiveing so it must be C. At least, that's what I believe to be correct. ^_^

I see none as being specifically positive, which I think involves some sort of approval or praise. Even so, C seems most likely.

a.you just have to ask the info. no need to elaborate things why? you don't have to explain to the readers all the changes that would affect their benefits or their ego.

To determine which of the options would be classified as an informative or positive message, we need to understand the characteristics of such messages.

An informative message is one that provides information or communicates knowledge on a specific topic. It is intended to inform, educate, or convey facts and details. On the other hand, a positive message is one that delivers good news, expresses appreciation, or communicates something in a favorable or optimistic manner.

Let's evaluate each option to determine the most suitable choice:

A. A request for information: This option is not an informative or positive message itself, but rather seeks information from someone else. It is not providing any information or conveying positive news. Therefore, option A can be ruled out.

B. An announcement of a policy that reduces benefits: This option indicates an announcement about a policy change that negatively impacts the recipients by reducing benefits. As it communicates something unfavorable, it does not align with being a positive message. However, it is informative as it provides information about the change. Therefore, option B is not the correct choice.

C. A memo for the file recording actions and rationales: This option involves a memo that documents actions and reasons behind them. While it is certainly informative as it captures information for future reference, it may or may not be positive depending on what actions and rationales are being recorded. Therefore, option C does not clearly indicate an informative or positive message.

D. A letter to an employer announcing you have accepted another offer: This option involves a letter that conveys the good news of accepting another job offer. It delivers positive news to the employer, expressing that the sender has found another opportunity. Hence, option D can be classified as both informative (providing information about the job acceptance) and positive (conveying good news).

Therefore, based on the given options, the correct choice would be D. A letter to an employer announcing you have accepted another offer. It aligns with being both informative and positive.
