Swimming space. The length of a rectangular swimming pool is 2x1meters, and the width is x+12 meters. Write a polynomial A (x) that represents the area. Find A (5)
Answer:
Area=(2x1) (x+12)sq m
A=2x(x+12)1(x+12)
=2x^2+24xx12
=2x^2+23x12 sq m
X=5
A=(2(5)1) (5+12)
=9*17
=153 sq m
I need to know if I have this correct and if not what I done wrong.

Everything is correct, but I would
have used the Eq that I derived to
calculate A(5): A(x) = 2X^2 + 23X 12.
Michelle, you do a good job of
organizing your work; it is easy
to follow. Keep it up!
