Volume is 4/3 PI r^3, and Surface area of a sphere is 4PI r^2
Lets look at SurfaceArea/Volume
S/V=4PIr^2/(4/3 PI r^3)= 3/r
what happens as r goes to zero?
So it seems that smaller r is more effective is one is looking for surface area.
