Homework Help: Chemistry

Posted by Nat on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 2:17am.

Hello,

What is the hybridization of an H atom on a methane?

As far as I understand, the hydrogen has 1 s orbital which bonds only to carbon, so does not have any hybridization. Is this correct?

Thank you
