Really? You can give first aid to a variety of situations. If a person is not breathing, you can perform CPR (which is first aid) then they'll be admitted into emergency care at the hospital.

First aid is the help that is done FIRST. This usually happens on the scene until they can get to the hospital and do more advanced treatments.
