19.6 + X^2/2 ={(.007852*X /.001285)^2}/2

i know the answer is 1.01 but how do i get that

Multiply both sides by 2:

39.2 + x² = (.007852/.001285)²x²

6.1105²x² - x² = 39.2

x²=1.07875

x=±1.039
