I came across this:
Could it be the RAM stick
I want to remove all personal data from the computer
I know this is not a homework question...
but, if anyone could help
The only ways I know are these:
1. Get to the DOS prompt (usually C:\) and use the Fdisk command to completely reformat the hard drive. Then you'd need to use your recovery disk to reinstall Windows or whatever you use.
or
2. Manually delete all data you want removed. Go into My Computer or Windows Explorer to find all those files and delete them. Be sure to completely empty the "recycle bin" also.
THEN use the defragment command -- probably more than once.
The first method works better than the second.
Thank you
