When did France become a country? Please don't just write the late 400's or something similar to that. Please give me the year, month, and date. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

    I'm not so sure that anyone knows the month and day... Historians debate this all the time.

    I suggest you read a comprehensive history of France and decide when you think it became a country.

    The French celebrate Bastille Day as a national holiday commemorating the beginning of modern France. That was July 14, 1789.

    You could also use May 8, 1945, Victory in Europe Day, as the last date that France was occupied by a foreign power.
