length -- x+7
2(x + x+7) = 140
easy to solve...
and I read it wrong as well, lol
width --- x
length -- 2x+7
2(x + 2x+7) = 140
easy to solve...
P=2(l+w)
width=w
length=2w+7
(w)+(w)+(2w+7)+(2w+7)=140
6w+14=140
6w=140-14
6w=126
w=126/6
w=21(width)
l=2w+7
2*21=42+7=49 (length)
I am 100% sure that my answer is right!!
By the way,in what grade is the person who asked this question (just wondering...)
width= x
lengtth=x+2
so
x(x+2)=170
easy to solve....................
