x=14x

Is this right I get so lost with this.

this is the second time you said x^
we use x^2 for x² in this format.

so
x^2 - 13x - 14 = 0
it factors
(x-14)(x+1) = 0
so
x = 14 or x = -1

both question you posted were routine quadratics.
Are you not studying quadratics??
