**Reiny**, Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 9:44pm[(-2)^4]^3

= (-2)^12

= 4096

10^7 . -1/10

Is that dot supposed to be a multiplication sign?

if so, then

(10^7)( -1/10) = -10^6 = -1 000 000
