2. How can genetic altering benefit the society of today and future societies?

6. What other areas of life could this manipulation of genes cause?

    genetic altering can prevent disease, improve food, treat disease. Perhaps in the future, genetic defects in female cells can be changed, such as the reinsertion of correct genes. That is a long way off.
    6. The q makes no sense to me.

    OK, because I am so kind and good. Pretend a woman carries the breast cancer gene. If she wants kids w/o that gene, it would have to be removed from her DNA in the ovum cell. It may be possible to do this in the future.
