I just do not understand how to figure this out.
Find the number of subsets of the given set.
{math, English, history, science, art}
Would I do something like this:
1. {}
2. Math
3. English
4. history
5. science
6. art
7. Math and English
8. math and history
9. math and science
10. math and art
and so on.

square root of 5 over 5

I am not sure I understand what you are saying; however, would my answer be 25?

I don't know about the subsets, but Isaiah's answer is unclear.
If it is √(5/5) = √1 = 1
If it is (√5)/5 = 2.2361/5 = .44722
