I have an assignment for week 4 in HCR210 due Sunday. We are to interview small, medium-sized and large medical facilities and ask 13 questions regarding medical/patient records. There are no facilities in my area willing to disclose any information for these general questions. Any suggestions on how to complete the assignment?

Yes. Tell your instructor which facilities you contacted and what their responses were.

SUE, stop telling ppl to not do the assignment. these ppl r trying to better their lives; do not ruin it for them.

if you cannot get answers in your town, call other towns. it is in your syllabus that is you are experiencing these problems to e-mail your instructor and he/she will send a something back that explains in detail what the assignment is about. this WILL ease the minds of the interviewee. also, be sure to include at the beginning of the converstation: you name, your class or college, the reason for the call, and ask if they have about 10 minutes to answer a few questions for you. If they are still hesitant, reassure them that you will not be asking for any kind of personal or privileged information. if still hesitant, offer to have your instructor send them something explaining what is going on. if that fails, realize that whoever you are talking to must want you to fail as bad as SUE does....cut your losses and move on.

If you are unable to find medical facilities in your area willing to disclose information for your assignment, there are a few alternative options you can consider:

1. Online research: Look for publicly available information, articles, or reports published by medical organizations or associations. These sources often provide insights into medical record practices and policies for different types of healthcare facilities.

2. Virtual interviews: Reach out to medical professionals, administrators, or experts in the field through online platforms, professional social networks, or industry-specific forums. Explain your situation and request a virtual interview to ask your questions. Many professionals are willing to help students with their assignments.

3. Academic resources: Consult academic databases, such as research journals or scholarly articles, for studies or assessments related to medical/patient records in different types of healthcare settings. These sources often contain valuable information that can be used to answer your assignment questions.

4. Faculty or classmates: Seek guidance from your instructor or classmates. They may have suggestions or resources that can help you complete your assignment, or they may be able to connect you with professionals who can provide insights into medical record practices.

Remember, despite the challenges you face in finding facilities willing to disclose information, your goal is to gather knowledge about different types of healthcare facilities and their medical/patient record practices. Adaptability and resourcefulness are essential in finding alternative ways to complete your assignment.
