About how many people lying head-to-toe are needed to strech around the earth? Is it closest to : a) 1 million; b) 25 million; c) 100 million? (Hint: The distance around the earth is approximately 25,000 miles).

Assuming the average adult person is about 5.5 feet tall --

1 mile = 5,280 feet

25,000 * 5,280 = 132,000,000 feet

132,000,000 / 5.5 = 24,000,000
