During the 1980s, corporations prospered and lots of people made lots of money. They were able to do so because the government, under Republican leadership, abandoned many of the regulations from the past. The more money that corporations made, the more they poured into conservative politicians' coffers.
so the money was the social, economic, and political compisition?
