I bet you mean:
-3/(p+2) = -8/(p-3)
multiply both sides by the LCD [(p+2)(p-3)]
[(p+2)(p-3)](-3)/(p+2) =[(p+2)(p-3 )](-8)/(p-3)
(p-3)(-3) = (p+2)(-8)
I bet you can take it from there.
