Homework Help: Microbiology

Posted by Jade on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 8:57pm.

Which of the following tests are used to differentiate between these bacteria:

Tests: Bacitracin Test, SXT Test, CAMP Test, Enterococcosel Agar, 6.5% NaCl Test and Optochin Test

A) Streptococcus viridans and Streptococcus faecalis

B) Group A and Group B Streptococci

C) Group B and viridans group of streptococci

D) Pneumococci and viridans group of Streptococci

E) Group A from Group C streptococci if both organisms are bacitracin susceptible

F) S. pneumoniae from other alpha hemolytic streptococci

I think that letter B is the CAMP test, and letter D is the optochin test, and E is the SXT test. If someone could just let me know if those three are correct and help me with the ones that I don't have an answer to I would REALLY appreciate it. Thanks!!
