A sample of NH4HS (s) is placed into a 2.65 L flask, containing 0.140 mols of NH3 (g). NH4++++>>nh3 (g) + h2s (g)

KP = 0.108

wHAT will be the total gas pressure at 25 degrees in atm. I got about 1.361...i don't kno what im doing wrong. im multiplying the NH3 * H2S = partial.

(NH3) = 0.120/2.61 = approx 0.05 but you need a more accurate answer than that.

......NH4HS ==> NH3 + H2S
I....solid......0.05....0
C....solid......+p.....+p
E....solid.....0.05+p...p

Write the Kp expression, substitute the numbers, solve the quadratic equation, then add 0.05+p+p = ptotal (of course remember to use the more accurate number of NH3 at the initial amount.

Post your work if you get stuck. I think 1.361 is high. If you will post your work I shall be happy to check it.
