B)decreased conflict in eastern Europe
C)increased communism throughout the world
its B right
The best answer is either A or B, depending upon the emphasis placed on this dissolution by the text book author.
There wasn't overt conflict in eastern Europe because the USSR put down any attempts at rebellion. Many nations in the world were affected because it announced that the Cold War was over and the USSR was no longer threatening the western world.

The referendum gave Gorbachev a minor boost, and, in the summer of 1991, the New Union Treaty was designed and agreed upon by eight republics which would have turned the Soviet Union into a much looser federation.
